About us
CILIA SWIM is a luxury swimwear label focusing on a sustainable and eco-friendly ethos. Each collection is consciously crafted to uphold the look and feel of quality pieces that can be worn year after year.
Our fabric
Econyl fibre is made from collected and regenerated waste, such as, plastics, nylon scraps, fishing nets and debris from our ocean – reducing the global warming impact of nylon by up to 90% compared with the material from oil. This yarn is then used to create the long lasting, luxurious and durable fabric we use to make our swimwear; proving that high sustainability doesn’t have to mean low quality.
Sustainability
For us, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We aim to make our products as sustainable as possible, and are constantly looking for new ways to improve our approach.
So far we have taken the following actions:
- All our bikinis are made using recycled and regenerated materials
- Each printed bikini is developed with eco-ink
- All our packaging, hygiene liners, and tags are 100% biodegradable, and our gifted tote bags are all made using recycled cotton
- Our manufacturers follow the same mindset by actively minimising use of single-serving plastics on their premises, and recycling any fabric waste back into the supply chain. All staff are given free metal water bottles, and are educated about waste management at work and home.
